Poison effect command

minecraft:poisonEnglish name Poison

Poison (minecraft:poison) is a harmful effect.Continuously drains health, but cannot reduce it below half a heart.Here are commands to give, clear, and create potions.

Common Commands

Give the nearest Player 30 seconds (level I)

/effect give @p minecraft:poison 30 0

Level II, lasts 1 minute

/effect give @p minecraft:poison 60 1

Levels start at 0: 0 is level I, 1 is level II

All players, infinite duration, hide particles

/effect give @a minecraft:poison infinite 0 true

Clear Poison

/effect clear @p minecraft:poison

Poison Potion (3 minutes)

/give @p potion[potion_contents={custom_effects:[{id:"minecraft:poison",amplifier:0,duration:3600}]},custom_name={translate:"effect.minecraft.poison",italic:false}]

Duration is measured in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second)

Gain while standing on a Block of Gold

/execute as @a at @s if block ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:gold_block run effect give @s minecraft:poison 2 0 true

Run continuously in a repeating command block

Set duration and level in the Effect Generator
